Goodbye 2010.

Goodbye 2010

We’re going to be ringing in the new year at a masquerade party that I’m sure is going to be an outrageously fun event! Cam and Lily knew exactly what they wanted when it came to designing a mask for the party. They both drew up sketches for me to make into hard copy with wool felt and embroidery thread. Lily is a Mis Mew Kitty.

Mis Mew

Cam’s mask is a native frog.

A bit big for Lily

Leif wasn’t sure what kind of mask he wanted. He hummed and hawed and finally I started to make some suggestions. He could be a cat like Lily, or a bat, or a wolf, or a… bird? Yes, he liked the bird idea. So did I.

I had to think hard about what to make for myself. My glasses could really hinder wearing a mask for more than a couple minutes and I also don’t want it to get in the way of my dedicated click click clicking of photo taking. I decided to make another flaming red beard, like the one in the disguise kit I made, but added some flaming red eyebrows to match. Nice.

My goodness.

I think they all turned out so well! I’m excited and proud to share!

Wow…they are all great Annie. You are so talented.

When you started talking about the New Year I was thinking, “Well, she’s getting a head start on things…it’s not until next week.” YIKES! It’s sooner than that. I’m so confused having Fred home. :)

Happy New Year to you, my friend. So glad to have gotten to know you better in 2010. I’m excited to live and learn with you in 2011.

    Much love,
    Debbie

    Hi Annie,
I just realized that although I gave you credit for your beards on my blog I did forget to get your permission first. I am terribly sorry, and am asking your permission now. If you want me to remove my post, please let me know. You can see the one I mean here http://timetostare.blogspot.com/2011/04/blog-post.html
