It is a soupity kind of week here this week. No, no one is sick (touch wood) but it’s getting ever cooler and the days are shorter. I love soup, to be sure but it also just seems right. I’ll probably make a variety of soup accompaniments depending on how I’m feeling that day, Bruschetta, Baking Powder Biscuits… Mmm… I’m starting to get hungry.

This week I’m making:

Soup always seems to offer me a sense of comfort and they feel like “home”. When I’m not feeling my best and don’t have much of an appetite it’s an easier way for me to stay healthy when I need to the most. I’ve struggled this week with some personal issues, which always leads me to withdraw a bit. I totally know that’s the last thing I should do when I’m feeling down but…

One good thing that comes out of any solitary time is getting productive when it comes to projects I’ve had sitting waiting. One of the things I’ve been meaning to do for a while is paint a tall narrow wall in my kitchen with chalkboard paint. I think it looks really great and I’m looking forward to having a place to write each other notes or pictures!

It's so tall I decided to do a little doodling myself

Butterflies galore!

Chalkboard paint? I have never heard of this! Can you really paint a wall to be a chalkboard? That is too cool!
We are definitely going to try the Thai Peanut burger wraps – they sound absolutely delicious!
