Thanks to Justine for this recipe! A great way to use up extra rice. This recipe isn’t very exact with the measurements because that’s just how Justine rolls in her kitchen. The first time I made this on my own though it turned out amazingly.
Fried Rice
- 2-3 cups Rice, cooked (doesn’t need to be freshly cooked)
- Peanut Oil
- .5- 1 Red or Yellow Pepper
- 6-8 Green Onion, chopped
- 1-2 cups Peas, frozen or fresh
- 1 can of Pineapple
- Cashews
- Tamari
- White Pepper
- Chinese Five Spice
- Cayenne
- Heat oil in wok.
- Add rice, tamari and spices and saute, tossing so there isn’t any sticking.
- Add peas and keep stirring until it’s almost fried enough.
- Add onion, pineapple and cashews. Heat through and serve.
