Thanks to Justine for this recipe! A great way to use up extra rice. This recipe isn’t very exact with the measurements because that’s just how Justine rolls in her kitchen. The first time I made this on my own though it turned out amazingly.

Fried Rice

  • 2-3 cups Rice, cooked (doesn’t need to be freshly cooked)
  • Peanut Oil
  • .5- 1 Red or Yellow Pepper
  • 6-8 Green Onion, chopped
  • 1-2 cups Peas, frozen or fresh
  • 1 can of Pineapple
  • Cashews
  • Tamari
  • White Pepper
  • Chinese Five Spice
  • Cayenne
  1. Heat oil in wok.
  2. Add rice, tamari and spices and saute, tossing so there isn’t any sticking.
  3. Add peas and keep stirring until it’s almost fried enough.
  4. Add onion, pineapple and cashews. Heat through and serve.

Yummy, once again. I’m always fretting over that left over rice. This recipe looks terrific. 11 days of hives, my gosh Annie, I hope you feel better soon.
