We finally took some photos of the double kid’s seat for my Xtracycle. It’s not totally finished since my friend is going to share her artistic ability to help decorate the back. She’s extremely creative and a talented painter. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with. We also haven’t made cushions or added strapping to the seats yet. I am however surprised just how effective my ring sling is as a seat belt for Leif though. It’s soft and yet very snug around his torso.

Last night we road down to the waterfront stopping at the grocery store for walnut and chocolate brownie soy ice cream and cones.

aside: I know my bike is a size too small for me and it was getting darker so the pictures on the waterfront aren’t the greatest!

Not too hard up the hill!

What’s with the funny face, Lily?

The chocolatey mess was amazing but it was oh so fun!! That’s the ferry terminal to Gabriola behind the kids.

This is what Lily did today while I was cutting the lawn! She made a flower crown with a creeping ivy, clematis and roses. So pretty.

Wow! The sub looks great with seats for two! And I love seeing how much alike their expressions are getting to be (the photo with the ice cream cones).

K and I just got back from our own ride – to get potatoes and scout out houses for ideas of what to do with our blah trim on our icky baby blue house. I was hoping for charcoal or something with a hint of brown but it looks like blue or a lighter gray would be better. Darn! I was really looking forward to something that looked a little more natural:(

    Happy trails!

It’s a bit heavier with two kids but not too bad. I’ll wait a week or so before I take the kids and get groceries on my own. Build up my stamina with the extra weight.

Leif was crazy with the ice cream. It was such a treat.

It’s too bad you don’t have a blog so you could show your ideas and get some outside thoughts… hint hint nudge nudge…. You could always share pictures via email though…

Bah, I’m still behind on my messages to you. They’re coming though. It’s not always easy to find time to really think about what I’m typing the last few days!

Very cool Anne. I love the kids expressions and what an amazing tool the sling!!!! I am soooooooooooo excited to paint the seat.

BTW sophia sunshine I too have been trying to find ideas for the outside of our blah home. I have been taking photos of homes I really like. Blue and chocolate may look good together or try blue beach type colours. ie. feng sh…. Just some thoughts. I have been obsensed looking at homes!! If I have any nice ones of blue I will email them to Annie and she can pass them onto you

I love the ice cream picture, and her crown is so pretty. I’d love to look at that Xtracycle in person next time I visit.
