My husband was recently recruited to play in the annual Tricycle Hockey Tournament for his work. I’m not sure what the cause was but it must be worth it to get all these adults rolling around on tricycles for as long as they did!

We didn’t have a lot of notice before the game started so we quickly made some cheerleading signs before we left. Disappointingly not many understood these first couple signs we laughed outrageously at!

And in reference to playing the firefighters in the finals:

Ha ha ha. I promise this was all in good fun and no one was offended. These guys all work together.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take pictures inside the gym very well. Locals may have seen the obnoxiously embarrassing photo in the paper though!

The aftermath:

Yes, that’s a hockey glove taped to the seat!

  1. What, no dark video? That sounds like so much fun and I’m impressed with the signs. Are you sure you weren’t meant to be a geer?

  2. Annie says:

I do have a video but it was quite silly, mostly because I took it at the end when the player’s patience for being crouched on small tricycle seats (some broken beyond repair) was waning. You’re going to have to enlighten me on the word geer, though! Oh, do you mean jeer? We were definitely doing that. It’s the way between these groups but always in good fun. I think the other teams were wishing they had thought to bring signs so they could save their voices!

  3. Oh, I want to see! I remember hearing about something like this before but I seem to be associating it with COTR. Either way it sounds like a riot.

In reference to the signs I had a good hoot but it made me think maybe you fit the mold for an engineer, commonly refered to as ‘geer. Could I be on to something here?

  4. Annie says:

Oh ‘geer! Ha. I’m not so sure about that! In some ways I might think like “you people”…

  5. Quite possibly more than me! Ha ha bigger ha ha!

omg… I did not realize that tricycle hockey meant actual tricycles…

lol… that must have been hilarious!!!

This looks like the kind of event that I ADORE. I’m feeling a tinge of envy even right now at this very moment. And this moment too. And this one!
You guys are fun. And i LOVE the signs!
