I finally bought the kids their own water bottles. I have my own Laken water bottle that I love. Their quirky pictures add to the fun. They’re too funny to not share!
The chicken bottle belongs to our friend Kate and the other two are Leif and Lily’s, respectively.
I’m not sure that Marshall B. Rosenberg would endorse that image of LRR giving the BBW that boot to the groin… where’s the compassion…*grin*…
But holy smokers those are cute bottles. Where’d ya get ’em?
Bah ha ha ha. No, I suppose not. But then I think MBR might also suggest BBW not be judged as such. Maybe he’s bad because we judge and expect him to be that way? Ha.
They are so cute. I bought them at the knife store at Woodgrove. I’ve hit my quota now for going into that mall this year. I happened to buy my first one at the same knife store but one near my dad’s in Vancouver.
Hey Annie! I have one of these too! It’s really funny, the picture is of a little koala bear humping a big panda bear. so absolutely weird. Josh picked it out for Aloka a couple years ago, and i looked at it and said “do you realize what they are doing??” and he said “yup, that’s why i got it!” too funny! by the way, thanks for the nutella recipe!! i’m so gonna try it!!!

And by the way, Aloka totally remembers Lily and said “mama, can we play again?” the other day when she saw her.
Cool water bottles Annie! We bought Siggs a little over a year ago and we love those! Metal water bottles are the best. And a little tip, too, if they ever taste a little funky (soapy?) – rinsing with lemon water works very well!
Sabrina- I would love to visit Nelson sooner than later. It’s tough being stuck on an island (as I’m sure you are well aware!)! I miss the Kootenays.
Penelope- I have a Sigg bottle too and liked it until Leif chucked it on the ground with the lid off and damaged the rim!! :( Thanks for the tip! I’ve never tried that before but have had this issue with thermos’! I’ll have to try it!
Those definitely work. I had the old kleen kanteen with the plastic lid until they improved the metal lid. I like it but it doesn’t make as much of a statement. I ordered otterbottles for a workshop in the fall and now have a girly one of those too. People loved them, myself included, and because it has a sport top it’s perfect for on the bike or in the pool. And on a totally different topic I’ve been converted – bath bombs are so much easier than diluting essential oils and adding salt crystals. I think I’m going to have to try making more!
L- I keep meaning to publish that bath bomb post. The best recipe so far has to be Krista’s (commented above). I can’t believe I missed her recipe when we made them. Seems kind of silly to publish the post for a recipe that isn’t the best… It was a good time though so perhaps I’ll just go ahead and post it adding a link to Krista’s blog.
