*sigh* I don’t know how mama’s with small children work on sewing, quilting or knitting projects. It’s been so hard for me and yet I see projects unfinished that I want to work on so badly! Here are a few still unfinished projects I’ve shared elsewhere:
This is a quilt top that is based on one I’ve seen in a book. I still need to add batting, the back and actually quilt it. I’ve had a hard time finding natural batting locally, believe it or not. I’d prefer wool but would be willing to use cotton if I found it. Thanks to a suggestion I think I know where I can go.
I did this as a pressing practice and haven’t decided on what I want to do with it. Maybe a really large pillow or a block in a small quilt?
One day these projects won’t be lonely and unfinished!
Ahhhh I have many UFOs, maybe I will finish them for my grandchildren!!!
Wow! You only have 2 unfinished projects or 2 unfinished quilts? I’m still less than half way through a crazy quilt I started 4 years ago and in September I started a really basic quilt for me that I had hoped to finish the binding for on our California trip. I didn’t finish basting it until we got back and now it’s sitting in a pile. There’s another one that I still have to start but it has a deadline so it should be done soon.
I really like the fabrics you chose for you Jan Mullen quilt and can’t wait to see what it’s like when it’s done. I’m not sure the size of the other piece but you could turn it into a bag or a yoga mat roll or a little quilt for the kids to play with? Maybe a better idea is to use the smaller blocks to make HOT PADS!
Have a good weekend, S.
Pretty much everyone carries %100 cotton batting, I haven’t seen any wool though. Snip n Stitch is a nice place to get natural unbleached cotton. Good luck with the unfinished projects, “unfinished” is the theme of my life!
Happy weekend, Annie :)
