We’re heading to our cabins for the Kispiox Music Festival. I always plan meals ahead of time when going to our property to keep things as easy as possible but this weekend is going to be much busier than usual. While the festival is just down the road from our property I don’t want to have to leave earlier than I’d like to in order to cook meals. Most of these recipes are really quick and easy and I’ve made as much as possible yesterday and finishing off today. We’ve got a house sitter and we’re ready to go!
Supper
Lunch
- Quinoa and Black Bean Salad
- Thai Peanut Burger Wraps
- Eggplant Pesto with Veg
Breakfast

Can’t wait to get there!
Have a sweet time away! The festival sounds wonderful and your menu will make it all so much easier to enjoy. I’m bookmarking a couple of the recipes. :-)
Your cabin photo set was gorgeous. Lovely, rustic place and lovely green-ness, too!!

Hi Annie,
I’ve been reading your blog for a while – I enjoy everything about it very much. I was wondering which camera you use as I am thinking of upragding my own!
Hope you had a wonderful time at the music festival.
Thanks! It was a wonderful time. Of course we had more food than we needed! It was so nice having our own meals.
Oh it looks like a wonderful place to just get away :) I’m always trying to talk my husband into getting a little place out on the water. There was a little house and bit of land right on the ocean for sale in Blackfish Sound that I just wanted to have as a ‘getaway’ *grin*. I could so easily disappear into the wilderness for spells to just get away from all the electronic lures of the day and watch the water swirl past :)
Sounds like you all had a great time at the festival to! Did you happen to get your hands on any cherries? I’m trying hard to keep everyone from eating up all of the fresh jam but I don’t think it’s going to make it until winter LOL. Have a lovely week :)
No cherries yet but I’m going to walk downtown tomorrow and check the little market that brings fruit and veg up here. *sigh* I LOVE cherries and would love cherry jam. Makes me mouth water just thinking about it!
