No, not saying Goodbye to Lily. She was trying to reach the lily pads.

We’re slowly saying Goodbye to Nanaimo, BC where we’ve lived for the last three years. Hello is to our dear friend here for a short visit. He came with us on our last trip to Newcastle Island before we move up north.

This is a friend who went unasked to my house and washed my floors when I went to the hospital earlier than I expect to give birth to Lily. This a friend we would have named our son for had it been a better fit than the name we chose. He is someone I hope my children will look up to as they grow. I know they will learn how to be a better person when they are with him because I feel that way myself.

A man’s growth is seen in the successive choirs of his friends.

  1. Judy Roberts says:

“The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers and cities; but to know someone who thinks and feels with us, and who, though distant is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.”

There are so few people like that in the world and he’s rubbing off on you too!
