This is one of our favourite places to go in town with the dog. Not far away, in Departure Bay, we stop by whenever we can for a quick walk or to spend a long time exploring and relaxing.

Driftwood fort! How cool. Hours can be spent here adding to the building, pretending, collecting little bits…
Shack Island just across the way. This island used to be covered in shacks. As they fall down, they aren’t allowed to be rebuilt. The ones left have been passed down in families to be maintained and enjoyed.

Yes bug free. I doubt we would ever have issues with bugs in such a windy location! It was pushing me over even walking on the causeway!
