Leif felt really special the other day when I passed him a package to open that we received in the mail. We opened it together and inside was a green felt crown! A perfect fit and Leif’s favourite colour!

Of course I have to share this shot too. He was yelling in excitement because Lily just walked in the room to see.
I started to make a crown for Lily a while back but felt a bit discouraged with how detailed I was making it and with only a few tools and materials I had on hand. I hadn’t done a lot of embroidery before and went a bit crazy! I’m feeling a renewed excitement to continue working on it because I know it will be beautiful when it’s finished. I feel a little embarrassed sharing but here’s a little peak of the work in progress…
Of course I’m learning as I go.
