It feels so long since I last wrote but I suppose it’s only been the weekend I’ve been away. I’m finally over the sickness I had. Thank the rainbows and stars! Other than that it’s been a whirlwind of fun and community.
We’ve hung out with friends for running, screaming, pretending, hiding, movie watching, conversation, eating and general adventuring. We made and ate pizza, biscuits with homemade strawberry jam, sauted asparagus, chicken enchiladas, tortilla soup, apple strawberry crisp and lime pumpkin seed sugar cookies. (Recipes to come!) Leif and I walked to Seedy Sunday where we were dazzled by what our neighbours had to offer. We bought locally made tea and Saskatchewan grown hemp seeds. We went for a walk at our local lake where our adventuring led us to be a part in a semi-large illegal drug discovery (!!).
All in all it was a good time, even if it did mean neglecting blogging along the way. I’m looking forward to catching up with everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
It has been a whirlwind – and I feel so much gratitude I can’t tell you. The food, the connecting, the support and camaraderie… I still can’t get over that find today at the lake though. I’m still repeating to myself – what are the chances? Forgot to tell Todd so I’m off to share that news….
Have a good night!
Can’t wait to hear what Todd thought of the excitement. “What are the chances” is right- although I find strange and sometimes crazy things happen to/around me quite often…
