Last night I was making Tortilla soup (recipe to come!) and came into the living room, for some reason, to find Lily reading Leif an old favourite, “I’m Made of Mama’s Milk“. Here’s just some of what I caught.
“Mama’s milk is so good. It’s good for allergies. Dad says it’s good for kids and babies too. Mama loves us.”
What a sweet moment!
Aw, that’s so cute! When I was visiting my cousins the youngest (3) liked to read me his book “Bear’s big idea”. His dad had just brought it home 2 weeks earlier and it’s the only book he wanted read to him and he did more of the “reading” than me. It was amazing how quickly he soaked up what was written on each page!
Next time you’ll have to get a video clip:)
Good idea with the clip. I was listening to her and trying to type it down before I lost it but I only got a few sentences. I also didn’t want to ruin the moment by butting in.
It’s crazy how kids can read/hear the same story over and over and be just as thrilled each time.
how sweet is that?!?
What a beautiful moment…I can’t wait for those!!!
