Can you see Kep? Hilarious!

Can you see Kep playing behind Lily? Absolutely and full on cuckoo!

But also kind of perfect too. He’s been a great companion. He likes to stay close and be included in all that we do. I’ve especially appreciated Kep this last weekend as I’ve quietly reminisced about my recently passed Nana. I spent a lot of time with her growing up. She lived in walking distance from my house and across the street from the local high school. She’s the first of my four grandparents to die. My grief is strongly overshadowing my rational thoughts regarding her quality of life this last while and relief that she is finally at peace.

I’ve been running again and Kep runs right next to me. He makes me smile and laugh by jumping around, like in the photo above, or playfully throwing a stick in the air, in an effort to tease some play from me, just when I feel like the running is getting too hard.

He’s cuddled up at my feet as I type and he’ll stay upstairs next to my bed until I come down in the morning.

I trust him. He’s wicked fast and life wouldn’t be the same without him.

What a sweet little post about a sweet friendship. I’m glad he’s there to help you through and I’m glad he’s found someone who appreciates him exactly as he is.

Sounds to me like your relationship with Kep might be kind of like Cam’s was with Bella. Oh for such lovely little distractions!

Oh my goodness, I love that photo! Our dog is a total wingnut, and I can’t imagine life without her.
I hope the pain of your grandmother’s passing eases for you soon, Annie.

    Thanks all. xx

Lynn- I saw you guys when I was running one day! I would have said more than just hi if I wasn’t a slave to my heart rate monitor at that moment.

L- You’re right! Cam and I, and Bella and Kep are very different but the relationship is just as deep and important. Gosh, how I miss Bella…. but I wouldn’t trade her for Kep. Eek! I didn’t just write that! Wrong wrong… but it tells you how well suited he is to me.
