Hello loyal and lovely blog readers. This is one of the longest stretches I’ve gone without blogging. I’ve been doing a great deal here in my real life. What I’ve come to realise is that I’m doing TOO much in my real life and need to cut back, not just for better blogging but for my family’s happiness, as well as my own health and happiness.

I’m slowly working on the images I took when I was at my cabin last. Ah, the sweet cabin life where I can do only what is real and in front of me. No computer, no emails, no photo editing, no phone calls (no angry people upset about not getting a table in the craft fair), no events, no grocery shopping… just walking, cooking, reading, warming by the cook stove, sitting still and simply absorbing the beauty around me, playing cards with my family, taking pictures, spying huge grizzly bears, watching the joy on my family’s faces as they fish (successfully or not)…. Life’s a balance and I needed to tip the scales the other way a little bit. It felt wonderful.

Soon I will be back in the groove of blogging… Thank you for still be here to listen and comment. xx

I often come home from our Island getaways where we don’t have internet access, wondering how to live city life the same way. What is it about the call of the computer?? I don’t have time to blog these days because too much “stuff” takes up the time when I open my laptop, which seems a little ridiculous. No time to blog because I’m too busy reading other people’s! ;)
I’ve been learning lately that just because I’m an at-home mom, doesn’t mean I need to say yes to everything. It has been hard, but oh, so freeing!
Best of luck with your quest for balance. It’s worth it.

Thank you, all. Yes, Bonnie- let’s set ourselves free a little more often!
